Dillon Francis & Cory Enemy – Ultra EP (FREE EP!)

As on recent Dillon Francis has become one of my favorite producers especially with the stuff he’s been coming up with under the Moombahton genre. Just today he and Cory Enemy, his mentor, decided to treat us all to their “Ultra” EP for free. Apparently they were in the process of attempting to get the EP signed to a label but there was a handful of samples that they couldn’t get cleared which spurred them to just give it away. A sad day for them but a happy one for the rest of us. Throw the boys some thanks and love for this one! Enjoy!

The Glitch Mob – We Can Make The World Stop EP

About a week about The Glitch Mob released Warrior Concerto off their We Can Make The World Stop EP and finally the EP has been released in full. This is their first full original music release since June of last year and it’s nice to hear them back on their game. Although the EP is only 3 tracks it’s still composed of that unique sound that The Glitch Mob never fails to put out. Although it’s still that unique Glitch Mob sound and the EP is good I still have to say that I’m not rally as impressed as I was with their earlier releases. In my opinion, the best track on the EP is still Warrior Concerto since I think it’s the most upbeat and fast paced track and I really like the amped up symphony-like sound they have going on throughout the track. Maybe this wasn’t their best EP to date but would I see them live again? Absolutely, they were a blast the last time I saw them at Electric Zoo Festival in New York City last year and I hope to catch them coming up on July 21 in Philadelphia. Check out the EP below and feel free to share your opinions!

If you’re anything like us here at the office you have probably been just as antsy for the new DZ EP to drop. Well today is the day. Today Chronos Records finally unleashed “The Ransom” and although the wait was excruciating, it was so worth it.

DZ is an Ottawa-based producer with over 15 years of experience on the scene. He’s produced everything from DnB to hip-hop to house – and now he’s taking over the world of Dubstep. Since 2007, DZ’s been pumping out Dubstep after Dubstep track, touring Canada and the US, and featuring his sounds online. His new EP, “The Ransom,” is in true DZ style – both recognizable yet continually evolving. The 4 tracks on “The Ransom” combine hip hop with grimy bass, half-time breakbeats with dubstep shuffles. But enough with the general stuff – let’s get in to some tracks.

Tommie Keeston – Just random shit EP

“Music consists of artfully disseminated silences between notes.”

A sound manipulator.
Comfortable both in the studio and when facing a packed dancefloor.
Tommie Keeston always manages to deliver slick melodies and powerful basslines with his productions, destroying the barrier between a beautiful dream and a hellish nightmare.
He’s one of the founders of ONION, an experimental project that manages events, booking and one of the freshest record labels of the scene that has recently signed HAEZER (Cape Town) and IKKI (Madrid).
His sets define the musical trend of SH.it, the party where Tommie plays as a resident deejay.

Tommie Keeston has just released a free 2 track Electro EP, The “Just random shit” EP.
It’s fairly different from most of his other work, but still as high energy as ever.

Listen and be sure to download it below.

Kap Slap – AA: Audio Appropriation (Dope New Mashup Album)

We have a little treat for you guys tonight thanks to Kap Slap who is definitely shaping up to be one of my favorite up and coming mash up artists amongst the huge pool of talent today. Kap Slap just dropped his latest album AA: Audio Appropriation today and has been so kind as to give it away for free (another reason I love his work). Some of the tracks from the album had already been released such as Angel In My Bones and Till Silvia Saves The World , both of which turned out awesome, but there’s plenty of new music to be heard. The album features a good variety of genres as far as the overall feel of the songs including Dubstep, Progressive, and Electro and of course you have a whole slew of genres across the samples used to make the tracks. After listening to the album all the way through it’s got my vote for sure. Download the album and get a feel for what Kap Slap is all about.
